Olly Guam

I’m a 27 year old professional On and Off-road Triathlon athlete from Rotorua, New Zealand. Living and training in Rotorua, the mecca for mountain biking, trail running, and open water swimming, I have the perfect platform to chase my dreams.

I’ve been a previous Xterra 20-24 age group World Champion, Asia-Pacific 70.3 Champion, New Zealand Elite Cross Triathlon Champion, and was 1st New Zealander home at the Xterra New Zealand Champs in 2013 and 2014 where I finished 3rd professional. I recently placed 11th at the Xterra World Champs and in 2019 I’ve switched focus to Half Ironman racing with the goal of qualifying for the 2020 70.3 World Champs in Taupo.

Over the past five years I’ve achieved over 15 Xterra World Tour podiums and won my first World Tour race at the Motatapu Xterra in early 2016.

My dream is to win the Xterra and Ironman World Championships, and I’ll be chasing these throughout my career.

Outside of my own racing, I graduated from the University of Waikato, where I was a Hillary Scholar, with a Bachelor of Sport and Leisure Studies and I’m using this knowledge and experience to help other athletes set and achieve their goals and dreams.
